I could care less about football. I mean, its fun when you go to a game (just like baseball) but it sucks to watch on T.V. Anyway, it appears we have a little Steelers fan on out hands (ok, maybe daddy is forcing it just a little).

I hear all the time about how Carter "looks just like his daddy." Now, don't get me wrong, that is a good thing. His daddy is a handsome dude (dude is a funny word. I was gonna say he is a handsome man, but I like dude. Say it with me: Dude.) BUT I hold out a little hope that he will look a TEENSY bit like me. So, here is a baby picture of me and one of Carter. Any similarities?? (Maybe the mouth?? No?)

I was thinking the other day about painting the kitchen. So, instead of just thinking about it, I went out and bought the paint and all the junk that goes along with it! I decided to paint it two different yellow colors: a lighter cheery one, and a darker one (called butterscotch! Yum!). I figured I would take before and after pictures, so tell me what you think!

I'm sorry, but when you come to visit I will have laundry on my couch because it has become a playground.

I'm sorry, but when you come to visit it will take me about an hour to get to the door because my foot is a rocking device (and it falls asleep).

What do babies think about?

I was watching Carter look out the window as we were driving somewhere (or nowhere) and it made me wonder what he was thinking about. You tell me. (He isn't thinking about boobs- he usually smiles when he does that.)

Size 2 Diapers

Since having a baby, I have a feeling my sense of time is now going to be measured by diaper sizes instead of days or months or minutes or hours. My little man came home in newborn diapers that he didn't quite fill out. All of a sudden he was growing like a weed and we moved on to size one's. Now, at 6 weeks we are moving on to size two. I can see you asking yourself"whats the big deal? Diapers are diapers.". Not when its your little man growing up so fast before your eyes and changing every day! If I had to give advice to a new mom and dad (since I have so much experience- all 6 weeks of it!!) I would tell them to enjoy size one and size two, because I'm sure size three will be here before you know it.

YAY! My necklace came today!!

I really need to go back to work. Seriously. I sit at home and when I am not taking care of Carter or doing laundry or some other stupid household chore, I SHOP ONLINE! I think I need to start going to Shop-aholic meetings. Anyway, I ordered a necklace online and I got it in the mail today! (It's like Christmas everyday when you shop online!!). I know the pictures are kinda hard to see, but for some reason they wouldn't turn out right! It is 3 tiny circles (Carter's initials- CDG) and a pearl. I bought it from here.

It's not gas!!

It sure is annoying when people say that he is smiling because of gas! (Thank you, Jared, for reminding me!) Does this look like gas? The correct answer would be "No, it looks like a cute little man smiling and not farting".

Carter and his Mommy

I couldn't do a "Carter and Daddy" post without doing one about Carter and yours truly!!! Anyway, sometimes in the wee hours of the morning (oh, about 3 or 4am) I begin to get a little frustrated about getting up for the thousandth time. But, as soon as I pick the little man up, he will give me a little smile or snuggle up against me and it makes it all worth it! (Not that I will mind when he actually starts sleeping at night...)

Carter has discovered how to smile. He smiles at everything now (but still mainly when he is working up something dirty in his diaper). He especially loves Bath Time!

Carter and Daddy Time

Carter and Daddy love their time together! They take a few naps here and there and ABSOLUTELY LOVE the porch swing. Anytime Carter gets fussy, Darek takes him outside on the swing and he is instantly quiet. He is the best dad any little man could ask for!

It's about time, dang it!

I have good news! I finally got online and ordered the USB cord that goes from my camera to this here lovely computer. The old one was munched on by some little dog. Anyway, it should be coming soon and then I can put pictures up more often! (Right now I am taking my camera to Walmart and buying a cd of the pictures each time, its not fun!!)
